Jenna Todd, the manager of Time Out bookstore in Mt Eden stops by to talk to Wendyll about national bookday and the future of books in traditional retail stores.
Ms Todd is optimistic about the future of books, saying that she has worked at Time Out for 7 years and says that they’re currently seeing some of their best sales ever.
She also says that while there was a slump in sales after the release of the kindle, one book in particular provided a huge boost in sales at a critical time. It may not be the one you expect.
Time Out is having a Howl-O-Ween party as part of national bookshop day, where dogs are welcome, costumes are welcome and dogs in costume are incredibly welcome.
