Ex-Detective Graham Bell on 33-year police career, TV stardom

Former Detective Inspector Graham Bell is arguably the country’s best known police officer.

He spent more than 30 years with the police, and over a decade presenting New Zealand’s highly-popular crime solving TV show Police Ten 7.

From serious crime including murder, organised crime, violence, and everything in between, Mr Bell has seen it all.

He joined Brendan Telfer on The Long Lunch to reflect on his long career.

Mr Bell also led major investigations into serious offending by police officers. 

After leaving the police force he found TV fame in Police Ten 7. His colourful descriptions of offenders became a hit with audiences, creating an enthusiastic following from viewers.
