Burt Reynolds dead at 82

Boogie Nights star Burt Reynolds has died at age 82.

The Hollywood veteran, who was nominated for an Oscar for his role in the Paul Thomas Anderson classic, died of a reported cardiac arrest at a Florida hospital.

Mr Reynolds rose to fame in the 1970s, starring in films Deliverance, The Longest Yard and Smokey and the Bandit.

At the time of his death, Reynolds had been cast in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, but it's unclear whether he had shot any scenes.

Reynolds is survived by his adopted son, Quinton.
