Pedro Marcelino from Nata Portuguese Bakery in Auckland brought in these incredible custard tarts, the perfect sweet treat before Christmas.
Here's how to make them at home:
50g Butter, unsalted
- Boil around 70% of the milk with the butter.
- Mix the leftover milk with the sugar, flour and eggs. Slowly add the boiled milk while mixing.
- Grease 18 molds very well and them fill them not to close to the top since during the cooking they will boil.
- Setup the oven for 170 degrees, put them in for about 30-35 minutes.
