RadioLIVE is pleased to announce that host Sarah Perriam has been named a finalist for this year’s Westpac Women of Influence Awards.
Perriam is a co-host and executive producer of RadioLIVE’s Rural Exchange, which airs 5-7am every Saturday and Sunday and is a voice for NZ farmers, intended to celebrate one of the backbone businesses of the nation.
New Zealand’s most inspiring and successful women are nominated every year for the prestigious awards. The 2018 Awards have named 83 finalists across 10 categories, including arts & culture, community & not-for-profit, and business.
Perriam has been named a finalist for the Award’s rural category.
“It’s crazy to think how in 12 months you can have such an influence on the biggest issues facing our economy when given the right platform,” Perriam says.
As a passionate presenter for all things rural, Perriam has interviewed the likes of Agriculture Minister Damien O’Connor, National leader Simon Bridges – and even Australian comedian’s Hamish and Andy.
She has worked aside co-hosts Hamish McKay and Richard Loe since Rural Exchange’s launch in July 2017. From farmers to industry leaders, Rural Exchange covers news and human interest stories on topics affecting the primary sector.
The 2018 Women of Influence Awards will be announced on September 18.
