Online tool 'Tahi Ngātahi' aims to reduce injury in the woolshed

Rural Exchange 08/09/2018

New Zealand sheep farmers are being urged to sign up for an online training programme that hopes to reduce injuries in and around the woolshed.

The programme, called Tahi Ngātahi, provides training and videos that wool harvester can use to improve safety and performance.

Federated Farmers, the New Zealand Shearing Contractors Association (NZSC), ACC and WorkSafe NZ have combined forces to produce the programme.

ACC will provide $1 million over three years for its development.

NZSC executive officer Mark Robinson joined RadioLIVE’s Rural Exchange to discuss the new programme.
