Anyone who grew up watching cop shows on TV knows that even Hollywood police spend as much time writing in their notebooks as they do shooting at the bad guys
And that’s a real problem. Because the more time police staff spend on paperwork the less time they have to prevent and solve crimes.
That's all about to change thanks to a new app created for NZ Police, which will wipe out 1.5 million forms per year.
The app is called Family Harm. Co-creator Reuben Bijl from Smudge Apps joins RadioLIVE's Vaughn Davis to discuss how the app works, and how it will change the procedures of New Zealand Police.
Listen to the full interview with Reuben Bijl above.
Sunday Social with Vaughn Davis, 7pm - 8pm on RadioLIVE and streaming live to the Rova app on Android and iPhone.
