Two years on from ‘M8 Yer Dugs A Nazi’ Saga, Youtuber, Mark Meechan, otherwise known as ‘Count Dankula’ walks away from Court with an £800 fine.

Graeme Hill is joined by Paul Casserly to wave the stick and review the past week’s media.

Count Dankula trained and filmed his Pug dog to pull the Nazi symbol when he said “Heil Hitler” or “Gas the Jews” to aggravate his girlfriend.

In light of accusations of this being an outrageous hate crime, Count Dankula refuses to accept punishment imposed, standing by his right to freedom of speech.

The Judge claims “context meant nothing”.

Graeme plays the audio of Count Dankula’s Youtube update following the fine.

Also, Hank Azaria, the voice of ‘Apu’ from The Simpsons is copping flack about the political incorrectness of his character.

Azaria has had a change of heart. He thinks that “We have to listen to South Asian people; Indian people in this country [America] when they talk about what they feel and how they think about this character; what their American experience of it has been.”

His solution? “…inclusion in the writer’s room”. Azaria believes this will genuinely inform narrative, as to what should be voiced and not voiced.

Graeme says “everyone in the Simpsons is a stereotype.”
