Winchester Cathedral holds the remains of many ancient Kings of England including Cnut the Great, but they’re all mixed up.
Martin Biddle, archaeologist from The Winchester Excavations Committee & Emeritus Fellow of Hertford College, Oxford joins Graeme Hill to talk about the mystery of the Saxon Bones Hoard.
Mr Biddle explains Winchesters Place was the Capital, becoming one of the most important towns of England.
New research techniques are being employed to try to match the remains to their famous names.
Mr Biddle says his team started to dig and find answers, and explains the role of Winchester as the old seat of Royal power and what the research may reveal.
