Hidden in Taranaki Cow Country, an untouched oasis flourishes in its midst.
Graeme Hill is joined by Sanctuary Manager of the Rotokare Scenic Reserve, Simon Collins, discussing the ‘amazing oasis’ for this week’s Environews.
Mr Collins describes the sanctuary as “a perfect example of community led conservation and pride.”
The stunning low land swamp forest, largely untouched, is blessed with flocks of Tui, Saddleback, Stitchbirds and much more.
