Our farm-raised venison is arguably the best red meat in the world, but a major investment was needed in order to achieve its market potential. Branding and positioning the lean, tender, healthy farm-raised venison as a luxury red meat sold year-round in new markets doesn’t happen overnight.

And then to help farmers to adopt the systems and technologies that will enable them to deliver the venison that markets wants.

Rural Exchange speaks to Innes Moffat, Venison Marketing Manager for Deer Industry New Zealand about the $16 million fund with half provided from the government into this innovative seven-year programme.
