Up till now there actually has been no plan - Andrew Little

A manned re-entry of Pike River mine is on the cards under the new Labour led Government.

Re-entry of the mine, where 29 men died in 2010, was a campaign promise by Labour and New Zealand First. National said it was too risky.

The new Minister Responsible for Pike River Mine re-entry is Andrew Little, and he joined The AM Show this morning.

Up till now there actually has been no plan.

“The preliminary reports I’ve seen from the families’ expert says this is totally achievable.”

Andrew little would be surprised if they can’t get into Pike River in the early part of next year.

The AM Show with Duncan Garner, Amanda Gillies and Mark Richardson, weekdays 6-9am on RadioLIVE and streaming live to the ROVA app on Android and iPhone.
