Star performer Liza Minnell would not let a storm get in the way of her travel plans. Everything she does is a little bit extravagant.
After finding out the singer could not travel to Wilmington, North Carolina for a sold-out show, she decided to travel by online taxi service, "Uber".
It was her driver's lucky day as he got to drive 320km to Minnelli's destination - we can only imagine what the fare would have totaled to.
To make the story even more interesting, the taxi driver, Ahmed El-Awady, was a former Olympian, and played handball for Egypt in the 1992 and 1996 summer games.
