The song that was inspired by Brian Wilson's dog, costing $50,000 to produce, won No. 1 on the charts.
Originally planned to appear on the album Smile, which was a follow up of successful album Pet Sounds, this was held off until 2004 due to Wilson's battles with depression.
The song was a lengthy process to create. Instruments were used to recreate horror-movie-like sounds and involved a lot of perfecting and re-recording.
