Remembering The Everly Brothers when they were topping the charts

This week in 1960, The Everly Brothers took their single "Cathy's Clown" to No.1 on the UK singles chat, where it would stay for the next seven weeks.

The single would go on to chart at No.1 in the US on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard Hot R&B Singles later in May.

"Cathy's Clown" was The Everly Brothers' first single for Warner Bros, which happened to also be Warner's first No.1 as a company.
