Paramount Pictures are in the process of making an Elton John biopic due out later this year, and have just released some new stills from filming. The film stars Taron Egerton as Elton John, and is set to be released on the 31st May.
The new pictures show Egerton playing as Elton during his famous concert at Dodger Stadium, singing and playing piano at the studio and a black-and-white shot in full 70s regalia. Four pictures have been released in total now, with one released last year of Egerton as Elton lounging in a private plane. You can see all the pics below.
The official synopsis of 'Rocketman' describes the film as "an epic musical fantasy about the uncensored human story of Elton John’s breakthrough years." The movie also stars Jamie Bell as Bernie Taupin, Richard Madden as Elton's manager John Reid and Bryce Dallas Howard as Elton's mother.
The film is directed by Dexter Fletcher, who completed work on Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' movie when original director Bryan Singer was fired. David Furnish, Elton's husband, is listed as one of the producers, alongside Elton and model Claudia Schiffer. The script was written by Lee Hall.
