Queen and Adam Lambert to perform at the Oscars next week

Queen has been riding high off their colossal success of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' biopic film that was released late last year. And just around the corner is the 91st Academy Awards.

The band is nominated for Best Picture, Best Actor (Rami Malek), Best Sound Mixing, Best Film Editing and Best Sound Editing and the band has just confirmed that they will be performing at the awards night itself.

Happening this coming Monday, 25th February around 8pm at night in New Zealand time. The Oscars Academy teased it via their Twitter account quoting the ever-so-famous 'Bohemian Rhapsody's' opening lyrics, "Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? We welcome @QueenWillRock and @adamlambert to this year's #Oscars!"

Previously, the film has earned 16 awards from the British Academy Film Awards, Golden Globes, AACTA Awards and more. However, in light of the new sexual abuse allegations against the film's ex-director, Bryan Singer, GLAAD withdrew the 'Bohemian Rhapsody' nomination for Oustanding Film - Wide Release category. British Academy Awards had also removed Singer's name from the nomination for BAFTA Award for Best British Film.
