Music 28/03/2019

Elvis' last ever performance took place on the 26th June, 1977 in Market Square Arena in Indianapolis.

In front of a crowd of only 18,000 (small for him), he played this setlist:

Also Spake Zarathustra (opening)
See See Rider
I Got A Woman/Amen
Love Me
You Gave Me A Mountain
Jailhouse Rock
O Sole Mio/It's Now Or Never
Little Sister
Teddy Bear/Don't Be Cruel
Release Me
I Can't Stop Loving You
Bridge Over Troubled Water
(band introductions)
Early Morning Rain
What'd I Say
Johnny B. Goode
(solos by band members Larrie Londin: drums, Jerry Scheff: bass, Tony Brown: piano)
I Really Don't Want To Know
(solo by the backing Joe Guercio Orchestra)
Hound Dog
(Elvis introduces various people from the stage)
Can't Help Falling In Love
(closing vamp)

Elvis was overweight and pale at this point, but he still put on a great show. The only strange occurence during the show was apparently Elvis introducing nearly everyonbe from his life on stage.

Fans believed Elvis somehow knew he was in his final days, but others say he was just worried abour the upcoming publication of 'Elvis: What Happened', a tell-all biography by his former bodyguards Sonny and Red West.

Elvis died less than a month after this performance, at age just 42. You can watch the performance in the video above.
