Mick Jagger is reportedly set to undergo a heart valve replacement surgery.
The Rolling Stones has postponed their upcoming North American tour after announcing the doctor's orders to their singer to rest up.
The news of his surgery came from unknown sources telling Drudge Report that Jagger will be undergoing surgery in New York this Friday and that he will make a full recovery.
"I really hate letting you down like this. I’m devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on stage as soon as I can," says Jagger in a statement.
Bandmate Ronnie Wood also tweeted, "We’ll miss you over the next few weeks, but we’re looking forward to seeing you all again very soon. Here’s to Mick ~ thanks for your supportive messages it means so much to us."
