Paramount Pictures has announced that actor and filmmaker Kenneth Branagh, has signed on to direct a Bee Gees biopic.
The narrative feature film will feature the group's story from their early days in Australia to conquering the world of popular music, spanning across the decades of their career history.
Still untitled, the film is co-produced by Amblin Partners, and will include producer Graham King, who produced the incredibly successful Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody. Paramount had also acquired the rights from the Gibb family and their estates to use Bee Gees' recordings in the film.
The 2020 HBO documentary on Bee Gees, 'How Can You Mend a Broken Heart', also came from Amblin Entertainment and their director, Frank Marshall.
