Sixty-three years later, on 9 September 2015, Queen Elizabeth II will become our longest-reigning monarch ever.

The last British monarch to hold the title was Queen Victoria, the Queen's great grandmother, who she reigned for 23,226 days, 16 hours and 23 minutes.
