Football fans point the finger at Mick Jagger for England World Cup loss

News 13/07/2018

English fans have their superstitions about football, and some of them are blaming Mick Jagger for their recent World Cup loss.

The Rolling Stones frontman watched on as England lost 2-1 to Croatia in yesterday's semifinal, ending their hopes of a first World Cup win since 1966.

At the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Jagger attended matches and tweeted in support of England twice - they lost both games.

At the same tournament, he attended Brazil's semifinal against Germany. The legendary rocker was supporting Brazil, as his son lives there - they lost that game 7-1.

In 2010, Jagger attended a match at the World Cup between the US and Ghana with former President Bill Clinton - yep, the US lost that one.

Coincidence? Just tell these fans:

Jagger and the Stones have just wrapped up the latest leg of their 'No Filter Tour', which covered the UK and Europe.
