It's the last tour for the Rocket Man, and he plans to go off with style.
Elton John has kicked off his 'Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour' in Philadelphia, the first of 300 shows that will take him across five continents, and finishing in 2021.
The Grammy winner will also be performing shows in New Zealand, teasing potential show dates in Australasia between December 2019 to February 2020.
Elton John plans to retire after the tour's completion, saying he prefers being at home taking care of sons Zachary, seven, and Elijah, five, rather than being on stage.
"My life revolves around them now – taking them to school, getting them to bed, being there for them, being there at weekends," Elton told The Mirror.
"Fatherhood taught me that there is no love as strong as the love you have for your children."
"Not even my love for playing live."
