Finance Minister Grant Robertson made the comments on Magic Talk Drive with Ryan Bridge.
New Zealand's economy grew at a slightly slower pace in April-June from the previous quarter, doing little to shift expectations of a further cut in interest rates later this year, although growth was faster than analyst expectations.
The Minister tells Ryan that the slow growth can be attributed to the international markets while domestic industrys have done ok.
Robertson tells Ryan that he is confident in the budget that they have put forward including high levels of investment in education, health, roads, and rail.
The interview then moves to the recent allegations of sexual assault within the Labour Party when Ryan asks how long had the Minister been aware of the allegations?
