Erica Finnie, spokesperson for 350 Aotearoa, speaks to Sean Plunket on Magic Afternoons their petition to remove AIG as sponsors for the All Blacks for insuring a controversial coal project in Australia.

The group have presented a 35,000 strong petition to Rugby New Zealand calling for the All Blacks to drop AIG sponsorship. The group has met with acting CEO of Rugby New Zealand.

Adani, the mine's owner, said in court it will produce 2.3 billion tonnes of coal over 60 years, averaging just under 40 million tonnes of coal a year, equivalent to 4.7 billion tonnes of CO2.

The project had struggled to get off the ground as other insureres balked at backing the mine. Erica explains the petition is comprised of signatures from both Australia and New Zealand.
