Firefighters are battling a massive blaze at Auckland's SkyCity convention centre, forcing many nearby businesses to shut up shop for the day.
The fire, which has been burning since 1pm on Tuesday, is expected to take at least another 10 hours to extinguish.
Areas of the city are blanketed in thick black smoke and Fire and Emergency is urging people to avoid the central business district.

British Consulate General
The Auckland British Consulate General building is closed today because of road closures. Any British nationals who need assistance can call +64 (0) 4 924 2888.
AMI's Auckland central branch is closed today. The company apologised for the inconvenience and said certain services are still available online.
Two of ASB's Auckland branches are closed today because of the smoke. The 125 Queen Street and the Wyndham Street branches are closed. The other Queen Street branch remains "open at this stage".
Auckland District Court
The District Court and Chorus House are closed until further notice. The Ministry of Justice says the closure is in place for public safety.
Auckland Central City Library
The central city library will be closed today as a result of the smoke. All other Auckland libraries are open.
The Queen Street store is closed this morning due to limited access to the city and high pollution levels.
JB Hi-Fi says they will update the situation at 11am.
Auckland Art Gallery
The Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki is closed as a result of the fire.
The Auckland building remains closed today, but SkyCity is hoping to reopen tomorrow.
"We hope to reopen our Auckland precinct tomorrow, but our continued priority is the safety of our staff and guests."
Media Design School
The Auckland Media Design School campus has been closed for the day. The school issued a warning on its Facebook page urging people to avoid the area and stay indoors with windows closed.
Several central city roads are closed this morning including Wellesley Street West, Hobson Street, Nelson Street and a section of Victoria Street West.
As a result, there have been a number of bus detours. A full list of changes can be found here.
