Off the back of Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern's update at midday today, Dr Siouxsie Wiles joined Sean Plunket to discuss the health implications and reducing risk.
Dr Wiles highly recommends taking good actions to help prevent the further spread of COVID-19 to avoid New Zealand getting to a level 4 alert situation. These include:
- Social distancing
- Practicing good hygiene
- Keeping yourself healthy
- Get your flu vaccine when that becomes widely available
- Stay home when you've got a cold
- If there is a grandparent or grandparents within the home, keep kids home from school
Wiles believes the Governments move on the alert system is a good one and we should all be playing our part in preventing the spread of the virus.
