It's one of the biggest controversies in the country at the moment - that university students are being charged a $150 per week 'holding fee' for accommodation they can't access.
Victoria University is charging $150/week. University of Auckland is charging up to $263/week.
Students say they were originally told they wouldn't have to pay for rooms, and were advised to leave during Level 4 lockdown.
Sean invited Universities New Zealand chief executive Chris Whelan on to his show to discuss this topic, and ask Whelan to explain why these poor students have to foot the bill for something they cannot even use.
