Well known broadcaster Danny Watson is joining Magic Talk to host the afternoon show alongside current night host Leah Panapa.
Afternoons with Danny Watson and Leah Panapa on Magic Talk will launch on Monday 1 March.
Danny Watson says he’s really excited to get started with Magic Talk.
“After hosting afternoon talkback for 15 years on Newstalk ZB up until the end of 2015, I’ve been busy building papa kāinga for the whānau and I’m now ready for a new challenge.
“I can’t wait to get back into radio, re-engage with listeners and work alongside Leah.”
Leah Panapa has been hosting Magic Nights for the past two years and says the year ahead is looking exciting.
“I’m really looking forward to teaming up with Danny and having conversations with Kiwis about the issues affecting them, their communities and New Zealand.”
MediaWorks Director of Content - Radio, Leon Wratt is thrilled two of the country’s top broadcasters are joining forces on Magic Talk.
“Danny and Leah are both incredibly talented, with more than 40 years experience between them and I’m looking forward to what they’ll bring to afternoon talk radio.
Broadcaster Graeme Hill will also join Magic Talk, hosting the night show from 7-10pm.

Afternoons with Danny Watson and Leah Panapa will be live weekdays on Magic Talk from midday until 4pm from Monday 1 March. Nights with Graeme Hill will be live weekdays from 7pm-10pm from Monday 8 March.
