1975:  Elvis Presley arranged for daughter Lisa Marie to meet Elton John for her seventh birthday.  Elton was Lisa's favorite singer.
 
1986:  The Broadway Album by Barbra Streisand ruled the Album chart for a second week, her sixth career #1 album.
 
2003:  Mongo Santamaria ("Watermelon Man"), who many people thought was the best conga player of the 20th century, died in Miami at 85 years old after suffering a stroke the week before.
