On 12 February 2017, some 750 owners from 70-80 classic car clubs will gather at Ellerslie Race Course, Auckland to show why their steeds were winners back in the day (and still are).
The Classic Car Show has been at the races for most of the 44 years of the show, so what could be more appropriate than finally celebrating the fact? The display theme for participating clubs will be “Classic Day at the Races”- how that’s interpreted is up to the club but you can bet there will be some original approaches.
Not only are cars competing for best restoration trophies but also for the best unrestored everyday "survivor" award, which puts well cared for, unrestored, unmodified, and original condition classic cars on display.
There are “future classics”, and cars that date back over 100 years and of course the exotic, sporting and prestige latest models will be shown, some for the first time in New Zealand!
