I'm not a huge dog lover, but there are dogs and then there are these horrible pitbulls.
I hate them. We must ban them. We don't need them. What's the good bit?
I'm sick of politicians saying this is all too hard.
They're considering banning beggars at local Government level - why not just focus on these awful, pointless attack dogs instead.
A 7-year-old boy had surgery after being savaged by his uncle's dog in the south Auckland suburb of Takanini yesterday.
The Association of Plastic Surgeons have said they are seeing at least two dog bite injuries a week.
How many more children need to be attacked and possibly killed before someone takes decisive action. The law no longer works.
We need to ban pitbulls, fullstop. No ifs, no buts, no maybes.
Local councils need more power to act. They have asked for more powers - why don't we give them the tools?
The time for talk is over.
The Government says it's too hard, the SPCA says the same thing. There are too many cross-breeds etc and it can't be done.
Blah. Blah. Blah.
We can't give up just yet, we must look at how we can ban these awful animals from our streets.
The time has come to do something, and do it now.
