DUNCAN GARNER POLL: Is Labour's three years of free tertiary education policy a good idea?

01/02/2016

The Labour Party is promising three years of free tertiary education if it leads the next government.

The policy covers university courses, apprenticeships or other skills training and could be used for re-training at any time during a person's lifetime.

It would be phased in, starting with one year of free post-school education in 2019, two years in 2022 and three years in 2025.
